The International Young Professionals Foundation (IYPF) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on:
- Encouraging Young Professionals to actively help make a difference
- Highlighting the powerful position and influence Young Professionals have both inside corporations and through government to achieve change
The IYPF connects members from over 130 different countries.
While we encourage any kind of engagement, IYPF focuses it's energies on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG's). The MDG's represent the greatest achievement humanity could reach to create the largest improvement to the human condition to 2015.

MDG Email Signature Campaign
Get Involved: Join the MDG Signature Campaign
One of the key bottlenecks to achieving the MDG's is awareness, particularly in the developed world. The more people know about the MDG's and why they exist, the easier to rally support and legitimise action behind them. The MDG email signature campaign is focused on the promotion of the MDG's by making a change everyone can make. The average person would send more than 1000 emails in a year. Included in almost every email program is the capability to set an email signature, included automatically at the bottom of every email you send. Each of these is an opportunity to promote the MDG's. If 100,000 people were to change their signature based on this in the course of a single year over 100 million emails would have been sent explaining the MDG's.
Global Gathering Campaign

Part of what IYPF is about is bringing people together, and that is what our Global Gathering project is all about.
The Global Gathering Campaign is program to create localised chapters of IYPF members and supporters for them to come together on a semi-regular basis to host events to network, raise awareness of IYPF and to promote the MDG's. Our first major step to unroll the Global Gathering project will be StandUp 2008, which you can find more about on the events page.

Currently the mdgpledge.org exists as the MDG Signature Campaign. But, when fully complete will contain a range of activities and behaviours people could undertake to help make a difference. The idea would be that individuals would select and sign off on what actions they will take, and a specific date they would complete those tasks by. We will then check back with you on that date to make sure you have done what you have said you would do.
We hope that engaging in this project to make action toward the MDG's more real and achievable.
